Untitled 1990
We are very sorry to report that Sheila Oliner, painter, printmaker, teacher and personal friend for 26 years has died in London, on April 20th 2020, aged 89.
Born and educated in London she moved to Cornwall in 1985 where she had a studio in St. Ives and lived in the village of Zennor. Sheila was always generous with her time and expertise. She helped raise substantial sums of money for the new Tate St Ives and set up the open access Porthmeor Printmakers’ Workshop in St. Ives as a professional resource for the general public and the West Penwith art community.
Her popular prints have been a mainstay of the gallery for thirteen years.
We will miss her.
